ALLIE WOOD
MASTER STYLIST
Allie completed her schooling with Toni&Guy academy in Scottsdale, AZ. She has trained with Bumble & Bumble in both Arizona and New York, and also with REDKEN at the REDKEN Exchange in New York before being introduced to KEVIN.MURPHY here at Calvin Mitchell Salon. Allie has been in the beauty industry for almost 15 years. She has many certifications which include Great Lengths, Perfectress, Hot Heads hair extensions, and Keratin Complex smoothing systems. Allie is always eager to learn something new and specializes in color, she loves working with color because it allows her guests to change up their look both gradually or drastically. Allie is a proud mommy of a little boy and loves animals.

"I have been a Master Stylist for 5+ years and only seem to love it more and more with time. I attended Empire Beauty School on Chenoweth Lane in Louisville, KY. I have become a master of styling, cutting, coloring, updos, balayage, extensions, smoothing treatments, men’s cuts, and much more. To gain more experience as a stylist, I use my time wisely by working weddings during my off time. I also frequently attend educational classes to further my education on the latest trends and products so I can implement those tips on my clients. You can check my work out on my personal business Instagram, @ambershairgahm. I work primarily at my station in the salon, but I am open for traveling local to work onsite for special events. Helping to make someone feel great about themselves is my true passion and working as a hairstylist lets me achieve just that! It can be challenging as that every client is different, but I love to overcome these challenges to give my client exactly what they dream of!" - Amber Gahm

Amy enjoys creating dimensional color and manageable cuts for her guests. She has been a hairstylist for eight years and joined us here at Calvin Mitchell Salon in early 2017. Amy has had extensive training through REDKEN. She loves meeting and talking to new people; whether she is in the salon, shopping or at her children’s sports games of which she has three with her husband of 21 years.

Bobby believes being truly creative does not confine you, creativity is applied to everything you do. He has stood behind this motto 25+ years he has been behind the chair, and it has served him well. Bobby has had the pleasure of working with many well-known and extremely talented artists in the beauty industry including but not limited to Tommy Calahan the Vice president of education for Paul Mitchell, Horst of Aveda, and John Dellaria for example. He has trained with national and international companies like Toni and Guy, Sebastian, Euphora and KEVIN.MURPHY. Bobby has held positions as a salon manager, artistic director, education director, stylist and member of numerous artistic and design teams for various well know salons. He has been fortunate to share the front stage as well as backstage with many notable names in the beauty industry. He has the ability to personalize cutting and coloring techniques to each individual guest. He lets the hair talk to him and loves taking everything in and giving back to the world through his craft.

Brenda’s passion has always been styling hair. As a graduate of Trendsetters Academy she has been behind the chair for over 30 years. During her career she has been a colorist at several top salons Z Salon & Spa, Blades and Bacons, as well as a Master Stylist here at Calvin Mitchell Salon. This is a fraction of what her career has entailed in the years of mastering her passion. Brenda is Certified in both Halo couture Extensions and Paul Mitchell color system and enjoys all aspects of color, cuts, and perm texturizing. In her free time Brenda spends time with her family and traveling.

Buffy started working behind the chair almost 15 years ago and has maintained her drive for education and learning what is new and on trend in the industry. She has trained with Eufora and at The REDKEN exchange in New York. She is both Hot Heads and PerfecTress Extensions certified along with Keratin smoothing treatments certified. She executes short hair and bobs beautifully. Buffy has a fun sweet disposition and is very family oriented with her 2 young children, and loves to shop.

Calvin has been in the beauty industry for 30 years. He began his career in 1990, after graduating from the School of Hair Design, along with earning a degree in Marketing from the University of Louisville. Calvin has worked with several well-known artists in the industry including Nancy Braun, the creator of the ever so popular trend of balayage; Kevin Murphy, session artist and creator of the product and color line Kevin.Murphy; as well as many others. He is certified in both Hot Heads extensions and Keratin Complex smoothing treatments, and loves doing natural coloring techniques. Calvin has owned two salons – both named Calvin Mitchell Salon. His current salon opened August 2012, and has gone through two amazing expansions and employs over 30 talented artists – yet still maintains a very cozy and relaxed feel, like a smaller salon. There is a stylist for everyone there. Calvin decided to open his own salon to give his guests an experience – not just a service. He also allows the artists who work with him full creative control and management of their own careers. He believes that when artists are happy they can then give a true experience to the guests that make us what we are. Calvin feels fortunate to have had the success he has had in his own career and at his salon – which is in the top ten of KEVIN.MURPHY salons across the U.S. You will find Calvin working behind his salon chair alongside his team of talented artists or relaxing with his puppies, Coco and Pickles.

Carrie started her career 22 years ago after completing her education here in Louisville. Carrie has been a Nail Enhancement Specialist her whole career while traveling to Chicago to compete in a competition or continuing her education on the craft, stapling her career. She enjoys building relationships with her clients, and her co-workers, while making sure everyone’s nails are in the latest fashion colors and perfect styles. Carrie has been named one of the top Nail Enhancement Specialists in the city. Her creativity has expanded to her love of yoga, cooking and finding ways to spend time with her family.

Heidi is a prime example of someone still being young in her career but having the drive and passion to excel above and beyond. Having trained at Paul Mitchell the school and then getting education through some of REDKENS top educators has allowed her to take advantage of some of the best training and techniques the industry can offer. She is Certified in Keratin Complex smoothing treatments, Hair Un Wear wig cutting and styling, and Tressa Perms. Heidi has a love for color with techniques including Hair painting, Ombre’ and fashion colors. She puts love into all her work and adores her cat.

Jessica is another one of our stylists with a passion for education. She has 10 years of education with the Bumble & Bumble academy in New York and has also attend some amazing trainings with REDKEN. Jessica has been behind the chair for over 20 years and loves cutting bobs, they are always evolving yet remain a classic look in the beauty industry, she says. Jessica also loves to step out of the box with color and believes that being able to make people look great is extremely cool, by touching their lives and making a difference is one of the reasons she became a hairdresser.

Karen has been in the industry for over 35 years and though she has seen many trends come and go, Karen has always focused on those that have remained staples in the beauty industry. She spent the majority of her career with The Chopping Block formally a REDKEN Elite salon where she received tremendous training and education before joining Calvin Mitchell Salon in February 2017. Karen enjoys cutting and formulating natural looking hair color of the guest that sit in her chair; and when she is not working Karen loves to work in her garden and spend time with her son, Jake.

As a graduate of Paul Mitchell, the school - Louisville, Leanna quickly obtained a position in the associates program at Blades Salon and Spa here in Louisville and worked there for three years until the salon closed in the fall of 2017, after more than 30 years of business. She then joined Calvin Mitchell Salon and has been a wonderful asset to our salon team. Leanna loves that her clients want soft natural coloring and simplistic cuts that are manageable. She enjoys foil highlights and pixie cuts. When she is not behind the chair, Leanna prides herself in being a dog mom to Lilly, her seven-year-old lab/border collie mix.

One of our many super talented artists here at Calvin Mitchell, Lindsey has been in the business for approximately 15 years she has extensive training at the REDKEN Exchange in NYC and Vidal Sassoon in Chicago and KEVIN.MURPHY. She has worked along some of the greats in this industry such as Sam Villa, Kris Sorbie, Robert Cromeans, Chris Baran and assisted Danny Felstead National platform artist formally with REDKEN now with Lanza, just to name a few. She has numerous certifications and specializes in Balayage and Copella Keratin smoothing systems. Lindsey loves creating personalized looks using different cutting techniques and Natural looking color for her clients. She has the sweetest disposition with everyone she comes into contact with and is a mother to a beautiful set of twins.
LISA STONE
ESTHETICIAN/MAKEUP ARTIST
Lisa is our resident Esthetician here at Calvin Mitchell Salon offering a wide range of skin treatments and procedures to allow guest to put their best face forward. She has been an esthetician for over 20 years and has studied advance makeup for both tv and photography, advanced chemical peels, and microdermabrasion. Lisa prides herself on being able to help guests overcome and resolve difficult skin issues using the knowledge she has gained through hers works with Agera, Vital Assist, and Dr. Babor as both a student and an educator. Before her work in the salon, Lisa assisted patients in post-operative care for elective cosmetic surgeries for nine years. She truly has a passion for skin care and all the products she uses are of Pharmaceutical grade so her guest receives only the best.

Siena started her career with the Aveda institute in Cincinnati, Ohio in 2008 before moving to Louisville. She has many strong points as a cosmetologist. Siena has excelled with hair, nails, and skincare throughout her career becoming certified with CND, Glo Minerals and Therapeutics, Hot Heads extensions and Tressa Perm systems; along with extensive training with REDKEN. Her focus now is with hair, gives an amazing scalp massage, and specializes in highlights and haircutting. Siena is a proud dog mom of a pit bull named Allie.

After graduating from Roy’s of Louisville in 2002, Stephanie’s skill came naturally. Her eagerness to continue her education through various: Wella and Paul Mitchell trainings and certifications, has given her a refined skill set that sets her apart. Stephanie was with Blades Salon and Spa before coming to us here at Calvin Mitchell. She specializes in various color and cutting techniques as well as facial waxing and keratin Treatments. When Stephanie isn’t being a Rockstar behind the chair you can be sure to find her spending time with her boys and her husband camping.

Susan has been behind the chair for over 35 years and still absolutely loves what she does. You will likely always see her with an infectious smile on her face which goes to show how much she really enjoys what she does. She has been extensively trained through REDKEN and specializes in bobs, short razor cuts, and loves natural dimensional hair color. Susan has worked at a few mentionable salons here in Louisville but has found her home with us at Calvin Mitchell Salon. Her free time usually consists of traveling and attending her daughter’s tennis matches.
TAMMY JAMISON

One of two nail technicians at the salon. Tammy has been evolving her craft for about 30 years. She is a certified CND PRO technician and specializes in acrylics, CND Brisa gel, CND shellac, natural nail manicures and pedicures. She has worked at several notable salons in Louisville including The Chopping Block, Tousled, and Details just to name a few. She has built a vast loyal clientele through her career and continues to rock her talent here at Calvin Mitchell Salon.
TAYLOR CRONIN

After graduating from Paul Mitchell the school - Louisville, Taylor began her career as an apprentice under REDKEN Educator Katie Rapp at a twice voted Top 200 Salon here in Louisville. Now with more than five years in the industry, she has maintained her passion for knowledge by completing certifications at the REDKEN Exchange in New York and others: including both cutting and coloring techniques. Taylor works well with long hair and specializes in the newest lived in trends of Balayage and Ombre’. If you find yourself in Taylor’s chair make sure to ask about her days singing in a Led Zeppelin cover band.

Another one of our highly experienced stylist with more than 30 years of experience. Wayne has experience with, REDKEN, Framisi, and training with scruples hair care. He is especially strong in cutting short hair and men’s cuts. His guests rave that he gives the best shampoo massages in the city. A fun fact about Wayne is that he was a part of winter guard in high school and college before settle on his choice to be a hairstylist.
